HELP BRING FIBER INTERNET TO

FOREST LAKES!

We have submitted a grant application to the Colorado Broadband Fund Board to help us bring fiber internet to the Forest Lakes neighborhood. Now, we need your help in securing the funding we have requested.

HERE’S HOW YOU CAN HELP

If you’re a current Forest Lake resident, you can take the following steps:

Leave a Comment of Support

Express your support by leaving a public comment with the Colorado Broadband Office before August 29th.

Feel free to share anything that will help convey the need for fiber internet in your area, including details on the speed, reliability, and cost offered by your current internet provider. Have a student at home or work from home? Let the board know. It helps tell the story.

Submit a Speed Test

Run a speed test with the La Plata County Speed Test Collection Tool. This will help us gather information on current internet speeds in your area, providing data that shows your neighborhood is currently unserved with speeds less than 25Mbps / 3Mbps.

Sign Up Online

If you haven’t already, sign up online to receive updates about our grant status and any plans to bring fiber internet to your neighborhood.

Tell Your Neighbors

Now, ask your neighbors to do the same!

For your reference, this project will allow residents within the grant zone to connect to fiber internet with speeds up to 1 gig (upload and download!). Monthly pricing will start at $60 per month. If you’d like more information about the project, you can view our application.
