Local fiber provider hits major construction milestone in partnership with Grand Junction-based MARK Construction

GRAND JUNCTION, CO — [July 28, 2026] – Clearnetworx, the Western Slope’s hometown fiber internet provider, has surpassed one million linear feet of fiber conduit installed in Mesa County. This milestone marks one of the largest infrastructure projects the Grand Valley has ever seen.

The achievement, reached in June 2026, is the result of a years-long partnership between Clearnetworx and MARK Construction, a locally owned construction company based in Grand Junction. Together, the two companies have averaged more than 20,000 feet of conduit per week in 2025 alone, a pace that would have seemed unimaginable when the partnership first began nearly a decade ago.

“It’s unbelievable what we’ve been able to do in this valley,” said Tanner Broughton, Director of Outside Plant at Clearnetworx. “When we first started, if we did 20,000 feet in five months, we were ecstatic.”

Two Local Companies, One Big Mission

What makes this milestone notable isn’t just the number, it’s who built it. Both Clearnetworx and MARK Construction are locally rooted companies that have grown alongside the communities they serve. When Clearnetworx first worked with MARK Construction roughly ten years ago, Clearnetworx had less than 10 employees. Today, the company employs more than 300 people across 20 different towns, with over 95% of its workforce made up of local residents.

“This has been a huge resource for the valley – for income, for families,” said Mike Seriani, owner of MARK Construction. “Our business partnership’s been so successful because as [Clearnetworx has] grown, you’ve kept that locality. You haven’t turned into just numbers.”

That local-first commitment extends beyond the job site. Clearnetworx has been awarded more grant money than any other fiber internet company in Colorado over the last two years, funding that goes directly toward building fiber in rural and underserved communities that other providers pass over.

“Everybody else is cherry picking the easy spots,” Broughton said. “We’ve found a way to build in places that are more difficult. We’re not afraid of a challenge.”

Built for the Whole Community

The Mesa County fiber build isn’t just a residential project. Clearnetworx’s network connects homes, businesses, schools, hospitals, fire stations, and 911 services throughout the valley – infrastructure that the entire community depends on every day. Most recently, that work has included bringing fiber to Mesa County Valley School District 51 before students head back to school this fall.

Currently averaging more than 200 installs per week, Clearnetworx is working toward 1,000 installs per month as construction extends into more neighborhoods and rural areas across the country.

While one million feet of fiber marks a major milestone in Mesa County, it’s just one step forward in Clearnetworx’s continued expansion across Colorado’s Western Slope, Southwest Colorado, Northern New Mexico, and beyond. As the company grows, its mission remains the same: bringing fast, reliable fiber internet to the communities that need it most.

MONTROSE, CO: Clearnetworx, a fast-growing fiber-to-the-home (FTTH) subsidiary of Vero Fiber, has officially acquired Ting’s fiber infrastructure across key portions of Montezuma County and La Plata County, CO, and San Juan County, NM. The acquisition bolsters Clearnetworx’s footprint in the Four Corners region and reinforces the company’s position as a dominant fiber player across Western Colorado and the Southwest more broadly.

With this move, Clearnetworx assumes control of key strategic network assets. The acquired infrastructure enhances deployment efficiency, reduces build redundancy, and enables Clearnetworx to expand its market reach while maintaining a focus on delivering excellent service to underserved and rural communities across the state.

“This acquisition significantly decreases our deployment timeline in the region,” said Doug Seacat, President of Clearnetworx. “It allows us to streamline construction, minimize disruption for the community, and reach more customers faster. Our goal has always been to bring big-city fiber to small towns, with the resources of a well-funded company and the mindset of a local neighbor.”

Clearnetworx now serves more than 13,000 active fiber customers throughout Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico, with a growing presence in communities like Durango, Bayfield, and Cortez, CO, and Farmington, NM. The acquisition complements these efforts in addition to state and federally funded network expansions in Pagosa Lakes and along Highways 160 and 184 in Colorado.

“With this move, we’re the leading fiber internet company making substantial infrastructure investments in this region,” added Casey Irving, VP of Business Development. “We’re not just expanding – we’re investing long term.
CLEARNETWORX ANNOUNCES GIGABIT FIBER NETWORK EXPANSION IN FARMINGTON, NM:

FARMINGTON, NM March 31, 2025: Clearnetworx, a leading Western Colorado-based fiber internet service provider, today announced the first phase of its expansion into Farmington, New Mexico, bringing high-speed gigabit fiber connectivity to over 14,000 addresses. This initiative reinforces their commitment to enhancing broadband access throughout the Southwest region.

Headquartered in Montrose, Colorado, Clearnetworx is focused on delivering reliable internet service through transparent pricing and a customer-focused approach. Building on recent network deployments in nearby Bayfield, Cortez, and Durango, the company now extends its advanced fiber technology to Farmington.

“It’s an exciting step for us to expand into Farmington and the New Mexico area. We’ve always been focused on bringing fiber internet to underserved communities that we call home, and as our presence and staff have grown in the region, we are glad that we can bring this service to another community we work and play in,” said Doug Seacat, President of Clearnetworx.

Construction in Farmington is slated to begin in April, with initial service activations expected to start in August and continue throughout the year as new zones are completed and lit. The full initial phase, including 14,000 addresses, is expected to finish early next year, but the team has also expressed interest in bringing fiber optic into neighboring communities, leveraging upcoming grant dollars to expand the service into rural sections of San Juan County.

Casey Irving, Vice President of Business Development noted, “Our team has been prepping and working in the Farmington region for over a year now, but we never like to tease customers with the promise of fiber too far out from when we start actual connections.”

Clearnetworx will be constructing a brand new 100% Fiber to the Home (FTTH) architecture utilizing XGS-PON technology, which can deliver scalable speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second.

Internet plans in the Farmington area will start at a competitive rate of $49.95/mo for symmetrical 300 Mbps (upload/download), with options up to 2 Gbps. Clearnetworx distinguishes itself through local operations and a commitment to eliminating common customer frustrations like hidden fees, introductory rates, and data caps, ensuring a straightforward and reliable internet experience. Building on a substantial and growing footprint, Clearnetworx now serves over 10,000 fiber customers and continues to expand its network across Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico.

“Construction of a brand-new utility like this can take time and our team will be coordinating closely with the city, other utilities, and individual residents throughout the entire process. We’ll be utilizing local construction crews and managers to ensure the community is taken care of and we’re able to respond to concerns quickly,” said Tanner Broughton, Director of Outside Plant.

As construction activities kick off in April, Residents can expect door hangers and door-to-door notifications providing a heads up that work is about to begin in their area. Door hangers will include some indicators of the construction process and provide a method to reach out with any questions or concerns.

Residents can also track buildout progress, view pricing, and pre-order services at Clearnetworx.com/Farmington or by calling Clearnetworx local relationship team at (970) 240-6600. Clearnetworx’s fiber-optic network is engineered to provide the fastest, most reliable internet speeds, for both residential and commercial users in Farmington.

GRAND JUNCTION, CO June 4, 2024:

Clearnetworx, a Western Slope-based leading provider of fiber internet services, began construction last month to bring its fiber optic network to Grand Junction, Colorado. Connectivity will be available in some areas as soon as September 2024.

The project is slated to reach more than 14,000 addresses and will be executed in two phases. Construction efforts have kicked off in neighborhoods along Patterson Road, near Mesa Mall and Canyon View Park. A map of the planned service area can be found online at clearnetworx.com/grand-junction.

Unlike other providers, Clearnetworx offers transparent pricing with no hidden fees, introductory rates, or data caps, and their operations and support are 100% local to the Western Slope.

Clearnetworx’s expansion into Grand Junction follows successful deployments in neighboring Palisade and Fruita. Already, Clearnetworx has connected over 300 customers in Palisade. Installations in Fruita started in April, with a remarkable 1,500 customers having pre-registered at that time – representing a significant 25% of total serviceable addresses eagerly awaiting Clearntworx’s services.
CLEARNETWORX TO BRING HIGH-SPEED FIBER OPTIC INTERNET TO PALISADE, COLORADO:

PALISADE, March 29th, 2023: Clearnetworx, a Western Slope based leading provider of fiber internet services, today announced plans to bring its fiber optic network to Palisade, Colorado. Construction is set to begin in April 2023.

The project will cover the entire town, which will be split into four build zones. Those within town limits will have access to Clearnetworx’s high-speed internet. The fiber optic network will provide residents and businesses with access to fast and reliable internet, enabling them to work, learn, and connect more efficiently and opens doors within the community for economic growth.

“Our team is thrilled to partner with the Town of Palisade to bring our gigabit fiber internet to this community,” said Doug Seacat, owner of Clearnetworx and Deeply Digital. “As a local, Western Slope internet service provider, we look forward to providing the best internet and customer service possible and forming a solid relationship with the Town and its residents.”

Clearnetworx is installing a 100% FTTH (Fiber to the Home) network, with XGS-PON technology that allows for scalability in speeds up to 10 Gigabit per second across its planned footprint. Monthly plans will start at $49.95 per month and do not include any hidden fees or promotional rates for their customers. The speeds offered over the fiber network will range from 300 Mbps (Megabits per second) to 1 Gbps (Gigabit per second). Clearnetworx Western Slope operations and 100% local support staff will ensure the project will roll out with a community mindset and focus on impact for the Town.

As part of this effort, Deeply Digital, Clearnetworx sister company, is partnering with the Town to construct new middle mile fiber connectivity. This project will bring new diversity and redundancy in internet connectivity for the Town’s current and new providers. The effort utilizes both Town investment as well as State funds dedicated to improving broadband within rural areas of Colorado.

Residents can expect to see excavation and fiber crews working as early as April on both the middle mile and FTTH efforts. With connectivity available as soon as July, interested community members can learn more, follow along with construction, and sign up on Clearnetworx website: Clearnetworx.com. Residents and businesses can also watch out for door hangers and other notification methods signifying the start of construction in their area. The teams of both Clearnetworx and Deeply Digital look forward to our partnership with the community on improving the broadband landscape within the region.

CLEARNETWORX SECURES BROADBAND FUND GRANT FOR ELK MEADOWS PROJECT:

Looking forward to extending broadband service in rural Colorado

MONTROSE, March 17th, 2022: Clearnetworx is excited to be able to announce that they have secured funding from the Colorado Broadband Fund to bring broadband internet connectivity to the Elk Meadows community in Ouray County. The total projected cost of the project is $1,476,934.41 which includes matching funds of $369,223.60 from Clearnetworx.

Elk Meadows is a Fiber to the Premise Project that will extend fiber internet service into a community of 106 homes. The project area is located south-west of Ridgway and currently suffers from extremely poor connectivity with speeds rarely exceeding 10/1 mbps. Specifically, the project will build out an aerial extension from the Olathe County Public Health middle mile fiber which was built with the specific purpose of helping to connect under-served communities like Elk Meadows to broadband service.

The fiber optic technology that will be deployed by Clearnetworx will bring high speed connections and unrivalled reliability with a pricing structure that has options for households and businesses with a range of needs and budgets. Residential plans start at $60 per month. Clearnetworx also participates in federal programs to help lower monthly charges for qualifying customers.

Speaking about the successful grant application, Clearnetworx Owner Doug Seacat noted “our team is grateful to have the opportunity to apply for state and federal funds through the Colorado Broadband Fund, without this program it would be extremely unlikely remote and rural communities like Elk Meadows would be able to look forward to having broadband connectivity any time soon. We understand how important a fast reliable connection is to residents in these areas and we’re excited to be part of the solution.”

Clearnetworx will communicate with residents in the neighborhood in advance of construction starting to help the community understand the process and timeline. As construction progresses the Relationship Team will reach out to interested household to help get them schedule for connection.

PRESS RELEASE

CLEARNETWORX + DEEPLY DIGITAL PREPARE TO EXTEND FIBER INTERNET ACCESS TO THE CITY OF DELTA:

Delta, Fiber Internet is Around the Corner

MONTROSE, JANUARY 2ND, 2022: Clearnetworx and sister company Deeply Digital are preparing to further construction of their regional fiber internet infrastructure into the City of Delta. Our teams are preparing equipment and materials to begin work in February. This project is the culmination of hundred of hours of mapping, planning and scheduling. Our teams have worked closely with City of Delta staff to bring world class internet connectivity to residents and businesses who until now have had limited connection options.

Clearnetworx will bring world class technology, speeds and reliability with a pricing structure that has opportunities for households and businesses with a range of needs and budgets. Residential plans start at $55 per month, with no connection fees for those who sign up for service by January 2023. In addition to participating in federal programs to help lower monthly charges for qualifying customers, Clearnetworx will be rolling out options for small businesses and hopes to be able to extend their Connecting Colorado Students programs that are already in place in Montrose and Bayfield.

The build out in Delta will take place simultaneously with several other developments across the Western Slope including in Bayfield, parts of the City of Montrose, the West End of Montrose County, Silverton and later in the year Fruita and Pallisade. This follows a busy 2020 that saw construction in Telluride, Ouray, Ridgway and Loghill.

Now, more than ever before access to reliable highspeed internet at an affordable price is critical for both businesses and families. World class connectivity provides opportunities for small businesses to reach and serve their customers, opens the community to location neutral workers, provides students of all ages with better access reducing hurdles that can negatively affect students in rural settings and small communities. Speaking about the build out to the City of Delta, Clearnetworx and Deeply Digital’s Owner Doug Seacat noted “I am really excited to start work in Delta, it’s been a long time in the planning and represents the great things that can happen when forward thinking municipalities [like the City of Delta] and willing private partners work together towards a common goal. As a local company with deep roots in the area our whole team is looking forward to getting to know the residents of the City of Delta and working with the community to connect families and businesses to gigabit internet service”.

Deeply Digital will undertake construction work alongside a team of contracting partners. As construction roles out and neighborhoods near completion, the Relationship Team at Clearnetworx will reach out to customers in those areas to provide details on connection options. Our teams are looking forward to participating in community events and providing opportunities for community members to get to know us, through meet and greets, town hall events and more. Folks can follow our progress and find out more about our plans by following us on Facebook (https://www.facebook.com/Clearnetworx) or visiting our website (https://clearnetworx.com/).
