CLEARNETWORX ANNOUNCES ACQUISITION AGREEMENT WITH MOUNTAIN VILLAGE BROADBAND TO EXPAND FIBER OPTIC NETWORK:
MONTROSE, CO June 19th, 2023: Clearnetworx, a locally operated Fiber to the Premise (FTTP) company headquartered in Montrose, Colorado, is pleased to announce its entry into an agreement to acquire the broadband network of the Town of Mountain Village, known as Mountain Village Broadband. This strategic acquisition marks a significant milestone in Clearnetworx’s mission to expand high-speed fiber internet throughout the western slope of Colorado.
Clearnetworx has been at the forefront of fiber internet expansion in the region since 2013, providing reliable and fast connectivity to communities including Montrose, Delta, Ouray, Ridgway, Telluride, and Norwood. With ongoing fiber expansions in Cortez, Bayfield, Fruita, and Palisade, Clearnetworx is committed to bridging the digital divide and empowering communities with cutting-edge telecommunications infrastructure.

Clearnetworx was selected by the Town of Mountain Village through a competitive Request for Proposal (RFP) process. The decision to choose Clearnetworx was based on their unwavering commitment to local operations, stellar customer reviews, and their track record of expanding connectivity through private investment and local partnerships in San Miguel County.

The transition to Clearnetworx is scheduled for August 1, 2023. Customers can expect to see Clearnetworx on upcoming invoices, and they will receive updates from both Mountain Village and Clearnetworx over the next few months, ensuring a smooth transition and uninterrupted service.
As part of the acquisition, Clearnetworx will focus on transitioning cable and coax customers to their state-of-the-art fiber network. This transition will provide Mountain Village residents and businesses with faster, more reliable internet speeds, facilitating economic growth and enhancing quality of life.
