Reliability

Fiber-Fed
Wireless Towers

Clearnetworx is a fiber first company and our wireless customers benefit from our investments. Unlike other providers, we work to make sure all our wireless towers are one or two hops away from our fiber connection. This translates into more reliable connections and consistent speeds for our users.

Why Fixed Wireless?

Fixed Wireless vs. Fiber Internet

Clearnetworx is community focused and we believe in making future-proofed investments when it comes to our network infrastructure. This is why our company is focused on primarily deploying fiber internet into our communities. With that said, there are plenty of upsides to a fixed wireless network that’s properly deployed.

Quick Deployment

Fiber can take years to build out and deploy, even within dense areas. Wireless networks however, can sometimes be deployed within days and allow us to quickly implement solutions for our users. We often use wireless networks to provide reliable connections while we work on building out fiber.

Cost Effective

Fixed wireless networks are much cheaper to deploy than fiber or any wired utility. This means our team can use it to provide low-cost, affordable solutions in areas where there aren’t many options or competitors. Who says just because you live out of town means you should have to pay more for internet?

Why Fixed Wireless?

Fixed Wireless vs. Satellite Internet

It’s hard to keep track of the differences in all these internet solutions. While Wireless and Satellite sound like the same technology, they’re vastly different. To help, here are some of the ways Fixed Wireless service is vastly different from Satellite.

Fixed Wireless

Fixed wireless uses fixed towers within miles of your house to deliver your signal. These towers are often fiber fed or one to two hops away from our fiber connection which is why we can offer latency like 30ms.

Satellite

Satellite internet service utilizes a distribution point approximately 22,000 miles away. The distance alone means your data has much more distance to travel which effects both your speeds and latency.

A Couple More Things to Consider

Weather Resiliency

With fixed wireless, your tower is typically unaffected by weather. Satellite on the other hand can suffer from slight fluctuations in humidity like rain or cloud cover.

Infrastructure Upgrades

Future proof is the name of the game here. It goes without saying that when it comes time to upgrade our equipment, it’s much easier to replace when it’s on a tower verses in space.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Service Questions

What is Fixed Wireless Internet?

We believe in bringing a better internet experience to everyone. And while fiber internet is no doubt the best solution, it also takes tremendous time and cost to deploy. One of the best parts of the Western Slope is the ability to get out and live in the country. But that shouldn’t alienate you from having access to an awesome internet provider. Our fixed wireless towers expand the reliable and fast services that we offer to residents in more rural areas. All of our towers are only one to two hops away from our fiber backbone. This sets us apart from other wireless providers and allows us to provide higher speeds with better reliability. Our team is always engaged in ways to expand our fiber internet into more rural areas. Fixed wireless just gives you a better internet experience while you wait.

Where do you offer internet service?

We currently have or are expanding service across the Western Slope of Colorado. You can view a full list of our current and upcoming service areas by selecting either Residential or Business.

Do you require a contract?

We don’t. We want you to use our service because you want to, not because you have too. So our services are month to month and you wont be charged for anything until service is installed. We won’t put any contractual or financial risk on you for supporting us and our growth!

Is there an activation or setup fee?

In some markets we require a $100 activation fee. However, in most new markets we’re currently waiving that fee! You can order service online and we’ll automatically apply things like free activations if your area qualifies.

Do I need additional equipment to use Clearnetworx internet?

For your business, this depends. Our team can provide you with a Wi-Fi 6 router to power your fiber connection at no charge. If you’re a small business, this may be fine for you. However, your business may require a little more networking power and we recommend that you have some consultation from your IT company or team to make that determination. If you’d like, have your IT reach out to us directly and we’ll coordinate with them to make your life as easy as possible.

Does Clearnetworx offer phone service?

We do! We have scalable phone solutions for both residential and business customers starting at $30/mo. Learn more about our phone service and how it works here.

Can I watch TV with Clearnetworx Service?

Well of course! While we don’t have our own TV service, we recommend and can even help you set up Youtube TV for your TV solution. It gives you all the live sports, news, and shows as the cable providers, and usually costs less! Plus, you don’t have to sign any contracts or lock yourself in with a bundle.

Feel free to give us a call or visit Youtube TV’s website to learn more.
