CLEARNETWORX ANNOUNCES GIGABIT FIBER NETWORK EXPANSION IN FARMINGTON, NM:

FARMINGTON, NM March 31, 2025: Clearnetworx, a leading Western Colorado-based fiber internet service provider, today announced the first phase of its expansion into Farmington, New Mexico, bringing high-speed gigabit fiber connectivity to over 14,000 addresses. This initiative reinforces their commitment to enhancing broadband access throughout the Southwest region.

Headquartered in Montrose, Colorado, Clearnetworx is focused on delivering reliable internet service through transparent pricing and a customer-focused approach. Building on recent network deployments in nearby Bayfield, Cortez, and Durango, the company now extends its advanced fiber technology to Farmington.

“It’s an exciting step for us to expand into Farmington and the New Mexico area. We’ve always been focused on bringing fiber internet to underserved communities that we call home, and as our presence and staff have grown in the region, we are glad that we can bring this service to another community we work and play in,” said Doug Seacat, President of Clearnetworx.

Construction in Farmington is slated to begin in April, with initial service activations expected to start in August and continue throughout the year as new zones are completed and lit. The full initial phase, including 14,000 addresses, is expected to finish early next year, but the team has also expressed interest in bringing fiber optic into neighboring communities, leveraging upcoming grant dollars to expand the service into rural sections of San Juan County.

Casey Irving, Vice President of Business Development noted, “Our team has been prepping and working in the Farmington region for over a year now, but we never like to tease customers with the promise of fiber too far out from when we start actual connections.”

Clearnetworx will be constructing a brand new 100% Fiber to the Home (FTTH) architecture utilizing XGS-PON technology, which can deliver scalable speeds up to 10 Gigabits per second.

Internet plans in the Farmington area will start at a competitive rate of $49.95/mo for symmetrical 300 Mbps (upload/download), with options up to 2 Gbps. Clearnetworx distinguishes itself through local operations and a commitment to eliminating common customer frustrations like hidden fees, introductory rates, and data caps, ensuring a straightforward and reliable internet experience. Building on a substantial and growing footprint, Clearnetworx now serves over 10,000 fiber customers and continues to expand its network across Western Colorado and Northern New Mexico.

“Construction of a brand-new utility like this can take time and our team will be coordinating closely with the city, other utilities, and individual residents throughout the entire process. We’ll be utilizing local construction crews and managers to ensure the community is taken care of and we’re able to respond to concerns quickly,” said Tanner Broughton, Director of Outside Plant.

As construction activities kick off in April, Residents can expect door hangers and door-to-door notifications providing a heads up that work is about to begin in their area. Door hangers will include some indicators of the construction process and provide a method to reach out with any questions or concerns.
