CLEARNETWORX BEGINS FIBER INTERNET CONSTRUCTION IN BATTLEMENT MESA, CO
New fiber network will bring fast, reliable internet and local support to Battlement Mesa and surrounding communities.

Clearnetworx, a locally based fiber internet provider serving communities across Western Colorado and the Four Corners region, has officially begun construction of a new fiber-optic network in Battlement Mesa, an exciting step towards fast, reliable fiber internet for residents.
The project will bring Clearnetworx fiber within reach of approximately 1,100 homes and businesses throughout the Battlement Mesa area. Construction will progress neighborhood by neighborhood as crews build the new network from the ground up.
“We’re excited to begin putting plans into action to bring fast, reliable internet service to Battlement Mesa and the surrounding communities on the western edge of Garfield County,” said Doug Seacat, Clearnetworx President.
As work moves through the community, residents may see utility markings and paint on the ground, Clearnetworx vehicles and construction crews, trenching and boring equipment, orange conduit, and other signs of fiber construction. These are all part of the process of installing the infrastructure that will ultimately bring fiber connectivity directly to homes and businesses throughout the community.
Clearnetworx understands that construction can bring questions, particularly as work begins moving into individual neighborhoods. Residents can visit clearnetworx.com/construction to learn more about the fiber construction process, what to expect during each stage, and how a fiber network goes from initial design and construction to final installation. Residents can also enter their address on the website and sign up to receive updates as construction progresses in their area.
For Seacat, the expansion into Battlement Mesa also carries a personal connection.
“It’s especially meaningful to have the opportunity to contribute to the community in a way that builds on my family’s history here,” said Seacat. “My family played a part in building many of the homes during the early days of Battlement Mesa. Because of that history, bringing our fiber network to Battlement Mesa has been something I’ve personally hoped to see for a long time.”
The new network will be built using fiber-optic technology designed to provide fast, symmetrical speeds and reliable connectivity for the way people actually use the internet today. From streaming and gaming to working from home and connecting multiple devices at once, fiber is built to keep up. Construction will progress in phases, meaning some neighborhoods will become serviceable before others. To give residents an opportunity to learn more and ask questions in person, Clearnetworx will host a Fiber Internet Kickoff Event on Tuesday, October 13, from 5:30 p.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the Battlement Mesa Fire Station, 124 Stone Quarry Road. Community members are invited to stop by, meet the Clearnetworx team, and enjoy light snacks and refreshments. The team will share more about the fiber build, anticipated timelines, and what residents can expect as construction reaches their neighborhoods. There will also be plenty of time for residents to ask questions about construction and Clearnetworx fiber service.
