PRESS RELEASE FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

CLEARNETWORX BRINGS FIBER INTERNET TO MANCOS, COLORADO

Western Slope’s hometown fiber provider expands broadband access to another rural community

MANCOS, CO — [June 9, 2026] – Clearnetworx, a locally owned fiber internet provider headquartered in Montrose, Colorado, has announced that a new fiber network is under construction in Mancos, Colorado. This project will help close the gap in rural broadband access by bringing high-speed, fiber internet to the community starting in June.

“We are excited to bring fast, reliable fiber internet to some of the smaller communities in our region,” said Doug Seacat, President of Clearnetworx. “We love living in rural America and believe where we live shouldn’t limit how we interact with the world.”

That belief is at the core of how Clearnetworx operates. The company builds and maintains its own fiber network, with local crews on the ground and a local support team behind every call. Mancos joins a growing list of rural Western Slope, Southwest Colorado, and Northern New Mexico communities where Clearnetworx has invested in infrastructure – not because it was the easiest path, but because it’s the right one.

Building a Fiber Network

Depending on your neighborhood, crews either run fiber underground in conduit or aerially along existing utility poles. You might see Clearnetworx crews in action – digging trenches, running conduit, or hanging fiber.  Our crews take pride in treating each neighborhood like their own.

A few things to know as your crew works in your neighborhood:

  • We stick to approved spaces. All work happens in utility easements or the public right-of-way.
  • Things may look out of place for a bit. Construction can leave things looking “in progress”, but our crews always come back to clean up.
  • We’re here if something seems off. If you notice an area that doesn’t look fully restored, let us know so we can make it right.

Closing the Gap in Rural Broadband

Across rural Colorado and Northern New Mexico, inconsistent or aging internet infrastructure has long been a barrier — for remote workers, students, small business owners, and families alike. Fiber technology addresses that gap directly, delivering speeds and reliability that older cable or DSL networks simply can’t match.

Clearnetworx offers symmetrical fiber internet, meaning upload speeds match download speeds, with no contracts and no hidden fees. Service is available to both residential and business customers.

Get on the List

Construction is underway in Mancos, and customers can now sign up to pre-register for service. To sign up, residents and businesses can visit clearnetworx.com/getstarted  or call 970-240-6600 to check address availability and secure their spot on the install list as the network build progresses.
